Are We Just Food For The Sharks?

First off let me say I am starting to feel like I am talking to myself. If I am , well no big deal. Won't be the first time LOL.

However, if anyone is reading this please drop me a comment below. Even if it just says "Hi".

OK on to business.

I don't know about you but I am starting to feel like I am just food for the sharks.

How many of you have received an e-mail with the title:
They Must SHUT THIS DOWN (I'm Sorry NAME)

How many times have you got it?

Do you see a problem with it?

In the past week I have got this one e-mail at least 8 times from 6 different marketers. And only 2 knew my name was Jeff. Or maybe I should say only 2 cared to take the 2 seconds to change NAME to [FIRSTNAME] (or what ever tag their autoresponder uses).

I have no problem with folks promoting to their list, hell I do it. After all we all need to eat (and I eat allot). But show some creativity. Show some interest in me, your reader. By the way Mr/Mrs Guru my name is not "NAME".

So the next time you pitch your list stop and ask yourself "Do I want to be like every other marketer sending this e-mail or do I want to do my own thing and really connect with my subscribers?".
